Our service call fee is a flat $89, and it is the same for HVAC and appliance repair visits. If you move forward with the repair, the full $89 is applied toward the repair cost — so the diagnosis effectively costs you nothing when we do the fix. You only pay the $89 on its own if you decide not to move forward. We also give you upfront pricing before any work begins, so there are never surprises on the invoice.

Yes. Appliance repairs are covered by our 1-year parts and labor warranty. If the same problem comes back within a year of our repair, we come back and make it right.

It can be challenging to determine when you need repairs when dealing with a device as complicated as your air conditioner. While it’s always best to call a professional if you’re in doubt, there are a few signs that the problem may require urgent attention.

The most common sign that something is wrong with your air conditioner is noise. If your HVAC unit is making loud scraping or banging noises, it can mean there is a foreign object somewhere within the system. Leaving the system on in this situation can cause further damage, so be sure to power your unit down and call for repairs if this occurs.

Smoke or a burnt smell is another sign that there may be a severe issue. Electrical fires can be a serious risk because of the wiring and circuits in your HVAC system. Since your air conditioning ducts run throughout your entire home, any smoke that enters the system can quickly disperse throughout the house, making it difficult to breathe.

While we are always happy to help our clients, safety always comes first. Whenever you have concerns that there may be a fire anywhere in your home, you should always exit the house and call the fire department. Once you and your family are safe, your next step should be to contact a reliable air conditioning repair company like Felix Appliance Heating & Air.

Certain spots being hotter or colder than others is a sign that there may be a problem with your HVAC system. A common reason for inconsistent temperatures in your home is air balancing. Air balancing refers to the circulation of air throughout your home, which allows your heating and cooling system to maintain the temperature in your home effectively.

Air balancing issues often relate to the resistance of your system, so make sure the entire system is clean. When dust or dirt collects in your air conditioner, it uses more energy to force air through, which costs you more on your energy bill. At Felix Appliance Repair, we’re always happy to inspect our clients’ ducts and filters to ensure air can freely flow throughout the entire system.

Maintaining the temperature of your entire home is a big job, especially in a climate like Arizona. Therefore, it makes sense that air conditioners require a significant amount of energy to operate. While no HVAC system can be perfectly efficient, modern offerings can provide impressive savings on energy costs.

To see how your system measures up to the competition, you can check the SEER rating of your unit. SEER stands for Seasonal Effective Efficiency Rating, and it measures each appliance’s energy used. Options with higher ratings will be more efficient, with the most advanced systems reaching scores of 20 and above on the scale.

“Mike texted before his arrival. Was neat, clean and professionally dressed for repairing our Maytag refrigerator which was not cooling at all. He troubleshot, removed and replaced the factory authorized part, and checked to ensure the repair worked. All completed in less than 45 minutes but not rushed.”
