What a Clogged Filter Actually Costs You
- Higher power bills. The blower works harder to pull air through a loaded filter — efficiency drops well before the filter looks “dirty.”
- Frozen coils. Restricted airflow can ice the evaporator coil — then the AC blows warm air and you’re calling us on a Saturday.
- A shorter system life. Chronic airflow starvation cooks blower motors and stresses compressors. It’s the cheapest part of your HVAC system, protecting the most expensive parts.
The 30-Second Habit
Pick the first of the month. Pull the filter, hold it up to a light — if you can’t see light through it, swap it. Write the date on the frame with a marker. That’s it.
